Avocado is the chief player in this refreshing side order made popular by Mexican cuisine. Originally native to South America and often translated as ‘testicles’, this fruit with a very high fat content, is rich in vitamins and minerals and often classified as a super food. Once mixed with the other ingredients this Guacamole recipe gives a zippy creamy flavour which is well tasty. Remember it does not have a long shelf life and needs to be covered if you haven’t eaten it in one sitting.
