EVERYONE HAS A VOICE – NEVER LET IT BE SILENCED.
Life is like a jigsaw puzzle in many ways. It can be confusing, often difficult, leaving you living on the edge, questioning why you’re here or what you’re doing. If anything, it only makes sense when you finish it and the whole map is set out before you.
I’ve been trying to work out mine for a few years now. It’s been an eclectic mix of disasters, people, triumphs and events, helping mould me into the person I am. It’s something I would never wish to change.
For me writing about my experiences and helping raise awareness of disability, is my way of filling in the pieces, it’s cathartic if you like.
Nothing is impossible in life, if you know what is before you, and you know yourself. Just keep the faith and you will be surprised where it takes you.
A word from the ‘Real thing’. I did alright from the Empire, my wife worked there for many years and I enjoyed the benefits that came with it. However the move by local authorities to ban the lorry is a positive outcome judging by the obesity epidemic plaguing the West. I know it’s about individual […]
I like the new ‘War on Plastic’ campaign. It’s an upgrade on the current wars we are fighting, like ‘drugs and terror’ supposed conflicts, forced upon us. This war has meaning though and could make a big difference for our planet. It’s one we have to fight. To win it though ultimately – we have […]

What ever happened to daytime talk radio. In recent months I’ve been getting so bored of BBC 5 live and have decided to tune out. Its corrosive diet of servitude and fear, poured out by presenters who sound like they were born in the same pod is trying. The women all sound hoarse, like they’ve […]
As season 5 of the CofE came to its dramatic climax in May, heavy weights Clash City and Brucuresti, apparently slugged it out for the title. Reigning champions, City, easily held off Bruce Elliott’s challenge, but it was the incredible finish by Hollywood Babylon that had James Coke sweating. The West coasters trailing 60 points […]
I’d never heard of ‘Britain’s Best Home Cook’ – the BBC’s new cookery show with Mary Berry and Claudia Winkerman. So, when I got a call, inviting me to apply for the show in late October, I was delighted. It’s not often one gets headhunted and I was confident I could be an able […]
So I went to see my neurologist yesterday for the results of my recent MRI scan and last years chemo treatment. He showed me the scans of my brain (what an organ that is). Anyway he dissected the images of it, showing 12 lesions dotted around the grey matter. He pinpointed the live one that […]
OxyContin (15% morphine in each dose) is getting it’s tentacles established here in the UK too. In 2017 over 64k people died in the USA of opiate abuse. Many were introduced to opiates via OxyContin, prescribed by their doctors, for ailments such as back pain. It is estimated that the OxyContin becomes addictive after […]
