These stonking snacks full of natural goodness, are great for filling the gap mid morning or at tea time. The ingredients are not set in stone and any combinations of dried fruits, seeds and nuts will do. We often just make a batch at weekends and store them in the fridge and indulge as required.

Ingredients
  • 380 grams Oats 0.29)
  • 200 grams Brown sugar 0.34)
  • 200 grams Butter 0.68)
  • 170 grams Honey 0.90)
  • 100 grams Almonds Ground (no-skin)  0.77)
  • 100 grams Pumpkin seeds 0.57)
  • 20 grams Sesame seeds 0.17)
  • 100 grams Dried fruit Cranberries, blueberries 1.33)

Cook Time: 20 minutes
  1. Add the oats, nuts, seeds and dried fruit to a bowl and mix through.
  2. In a saucepan heat the butter, sugar and honey until everything is melted.
  3. Pour the melted butter mixture in with the dried ingredients, and mix together until everything starts to bind.
  4. Line a tray bake tin with grease proof paper or brush with melted butter. Add bound ingredients and flatten out so it is even and fills the tray.
  5. Bake at 160 degrees for 20 minutes then allow to cool. Remove from tin and cut into 8 bars or as required.
