Smoothies are a good way to get your so called 5 a day. I’ve never been a a great fruit masticator – part of the reason for starting this site was down to mouldy old berries and other sad produce clogging my fridge. However we need to get get our intake of Vitamin C & A’s and the other benefits fruit brings. There is a lot of chatter presently about sugar intake in our diets and obviously this is naturally sweet but 2 minutes in a food processor with any combination will turn out a great drink which provides natural fibre to help keep you regular. This little number contains a handful of raspberries, kiwi fruit, banana and 100ml of orange juice. If you want to give it a little heat then just throw in a knob of ginger.
